Cup of Kindness

Cup of Kindness

Cup of Kindness offers much more than financial assistance. A legacy of caring since 1926, Cup of Kindness offers support that keeps individuals moving toward their goals. Ultimately, Cup of Kindness is a ministry that provides a connection to the hope that lies in Christ.

Financial Stability

Through referrals from social-service agencies and Lutheran congregations, Lutheran Social Services of Indiana (LSSI) offers supportive services through case management, financial-literacy education and/or financial assistance to help families move toward financial stability.

Financial Education

LSSI is committed to helping families improve their financial futures. We do this by integrating financial education into all our programs. Financial education offers families an opportunity to understand and manage their finances, enabling them to take steps to create a secure financial future. We work with those facing a variety of financial challenges to help them achieve self-reliance, financial stability, and independence.

Cup of Kindness outcomes:

  • 80% of Cup of Kindness families showed a reduction in debt
  • 91% of Cup of Kindness families have demonstrated positive financial behavior
  • 76% of Cup of Kindness families opened or increased savings
