Children’s Village, LSSI’s early-learning center in Fort Wayne, has received a $7,500 grant from the PNC Foundation’s Grow up Great Initiative.
Children’s Village is a state-licensed facility providing a wide range of educational, social, and recreational activities for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. The center uses the High Scope Curriculum as it prepares students for kindergarten and beyond. Scholarships are available, making tuition affordable for qualifying low-income families.

To date, the program has served approximately 2 million children throughout 19 states and the District of Columbia.

This week has been very bittersweet for everyone at Children’s Village. Grandma Nancy, a Foster Grandma, is retiring. She has been with LSSI for a decade. Yes, that’s right—10 years of dedicated and faithful service to our organization and to our children! Grandma Nancy has worked with one teacher, Melody King, during her time with us. Over the years, Nancy and Melody have forged a bond and a lasting friendship.
